We love simple weddings days so we suggest keeping the traveling from place to place to a minimum. Since shooting so many weddings, hundreds at this point, we’ve noticed that the smoothest wedding days take place in one location. Getting ready, the ceremony and the reception. It cuts down on so much stress and time wasted traveling from one place to another.
We have created a sample timeline to help your day run smoothly. For an 8 hour wedding day with two photographers this is what we suggest. But depending on your ceremony time, this can vary. One tip is to pay attention to when the sun is setting and where it will be in the sky while you’re having your ceremony. It’s best not to be backlit during your ceremony or have the sun in your face. Farmers Almanac has wonderful predictions of where the sun will be years in advance.
1:00-1:30 Photographers arrive and photograph details, set the scene and photograph candids of wedding party.

3:30-4:30 The couple and wedding party relax! Photographers photograph candids and details of ceremony site and moments.
5:15- 5:30 Finish family formals (anyone who wasn’t there before the ceremony) and take a few more couple photos!

During the reception we photograph things how they unfold.
9:00 Dancing begins- the photographers snap a few photos and are done.
