Our Philosophy

We are all about looking at weddings differently and working with clients who start new traditions for their wedding. We’re all about diverse and same sex weddings. LOVE IS LOVE. As feminists, we want to work with couples who aren't afraid to break the mold. Our heart is entirely invested in photography, we live and breathe it all. We believe in capturing moments that unfold in your life, the really freaking special ones. Your wedding is more than just a simple day and we want to tell the story that led up to those moments.

I'm an animal and human rights activist i.e. vegan and feminist. I'm a hopeless romantic who loves traveling, riding my bike, and going to record stores. When I'm not shooting I'm having fun with my dogs, guinea pigs and horses. Those guys are my life.

I got into photography through film and I shoot on a Pentax K1000 and a Yashica T4. I adore the feeling of having one chance to get the perfect shot and the anticipation of seeing the final product. I especially love taking gritty B&W portraits.

I've always loved the beginning of stories and photography has introduced me to so many beautiful beginnings. From meeting for the first time, to hearing about that awkward first date, and finally seeing the first kiss as a married couple, I am all in.

Where are you based?

Caitlin & Nick live in Frederick, MD! Anna lives in Boyds, MD. We are open for travel anywhere!

Who is part of your team? What are their business roles?

Caitlin is a photographer/ owner and Nick is the editor and business guru and Anna is an incredible associate photographer.

How would you describe your style?

Documentary storytelling. There is nothing more important to us than photographing the feelings and moments on your wedding day.

Do you travel?

Yes!! Caitlin has shot weddings in Tennessee, California, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Maryland. She's always looking to add more to the list :)

How do I book CDP?

You can head on over to the contact form and shoot us an email! After we get to know each other, chat and become great friends, Caitlin will send over the contract and collect the 50% downpayment. Then the real party begins!

Do you blog every session and wedding?

Unfortunately not every wedding and session, we wish there was more time in a day!

How long does it take to receive the images from my session?

We guarantee your edited images will arrive in your inbox three months after your wedding! But you'll have plenty of sneak peeks to tie you over till the delivery day! Within a week after your wedding we will email you sneak peek!

It takes two months to receive images from an engagement session or portrait session.

How do I receive my images?

You will get your images sent straight to your inbox via Pixieset. It's a beautiful online hosting website where you can share with your friends and family, order prints and download your images!

What time of day do you schedule sessions?

We schedule the sessions on a weekday Monday- Friday, either at sunrise or sunset when the light is soft and glowy!

Do you shoot at Plantations, Zoos or Aquariums?

No. For moral reasons we do not.

What should I wear to a session?

Whatever makes you feel your best and happiest! These photos are meant to showcase you and your happiness. If your completely stuck on what to wear we designed a style guide and pinterest board to help you out!
