How to Prepare for Your Couples Session

LOOK AT YOUR SESSION AS A DATE

Take the whole day off and enjoy each others' company. Get lunch, grab drinks and make the day special. Your engagement session is going to be so much fun!! Just view it as a time to adventure around a beautiful location with the one you love and a third wheel (me). I know being in front of the camera can be intimidating but if you focus on having fun with your loved one it makes it so much more enjoyable.

CHOOSE CLOTHING THAT MAKES YOU COMFORTABLE

I want your engagement photos to look like you all enjoying each others company; comfortable and happy. I want you all to exude confidence in how you feel about yourself and each other! I have created a pinterest board with outfit suggestions you can check out hereAlso wear clothing you don't mind getting a little dirty. Go to your local thrift store and find a new outfit. So basically wear what makes you happy!

HAIR, MAKEUP AND ALL THAT

If you are getting your hair and makeup done for your wedding think about having your trial run for the session. Thats one less thing you have to worry about before your wedding!

BE ON TIME

I always schedule sessions at sunrise or sunset so we are working with the prettiest light possible and don't want to miss out on any opportunities to create beautiful images.

CHOOSING  A LOCATION

When choosing a location think of a place that is special to you both. In-home sessions are always beautiful. If you all enjoy hiking and drinking beer on mountain tops lets go on a hike. If you love urban vibes let's go to a city that means something to you and find pretty light and lovely architecture.

RELAX AND BE YOURSELVES

I am here to photograph you all being happy and celebrating joy. I want to capture you all sharing moments and showing love to one another, so just relax, enjoy the moment and breathe.

SHOULD I BRING MY PETS?

I've shot a session outside with a cat (it was pretty wild), so literally bring any animals you want. Lets take pics of your whole family, pets included :)

DONT WORRY ABOUT THE WEATHER

I am inspired by all sorts of light and weather. If its the bright sun or dark and moody skies, heck even rain, we will make some beautiful emotional images.

LETS DO THIS.
