Bare Ink Co | Vendor Spotlight

Today I've got a very special vendor on the blog! Lindsay is a super talented local Frederick calligrapher, hand letterer and graphic designer. She does it all! In the 90's she loved drawing bubble letters and that love grew into Bare Ink Co. From the very beginning she was meant to be a calligrapher! It feels like something she was meant to do and her work shows it! She makes communication beautiful and meaningful. She gives life to something that wouldn't otherwise have a beautiful twist. In the age of emails and technology the hand touched details she provides are priceless. Her goal through calligraphy is to bring the personalities and stories of her clients to life.

Lindsay opened her hand lettering shop in early 2016 doing quote prints and drawing on anything and everything. Then she began creating custom wedding invitations, invitation suites, and day of signage for clients and fell in love with the wedding world.

She not only serves couples in DC, Baltimore and Frederick, but across the globe as well. The thing that makes her work unique is how she pushes the traditions and encourages her clients to celebrate their wedding and make it unique.

Your wedding stationary sets the tone of your wedding. It is the first thing your guests see from your wedding. She works with her couples to bring out their character traits through their invitations and the words that are seen throughout their wedding day! Lindsay also uses acrylic and different mediums that she finds interesting and new in the industry.

She is also a graphic designer and branding expert for other creatives! She loves working with artistic creative minded individuals. She loves the feeling of providing a service and filling a need in the industry. She finds it so rewarding and she turns brides and clients into friends. Continuing the relationship after the wedding is over is so important to her. Communication is everything.

"Personal style develops after you stop looking at other people and what they are doing."

She hosts calligrapher brunches and is working on creating in-person workshops for 2018 so stay tuned! She has an Etsy shop where you can check out her work and follow her on Instagram @Bareinkco
